The Webtop Administration training course provides an overview of the architecture, configuration, and customization options for Webtop and Webtop OPAC. This course introduces the use of Webtop and Webtop OPAC system architecture. You will install the Webtop Suite, test the Tomcat and JDBC Driver connections, and access all the Webtop modules. You will have an in-depth look at the configuration files and directory structures. You will learn to set up the thesaurus browse, result set filters, info facets, and configure a new Webtop instance. You will understand simple customizations that can be made to Webtop and Webtop OPAC such as adding fields, customizing search operators, and customizing messages. Finally we will discuss Webtop, Tomcat, and JDBC Driver Event logging plus debugging techniques needed to troubleshoot and resolve errors.
- Attend a training on OpenText Collections Server - Database Administration (DBA) or equivalent practical experience
- Understanding of client/server applications via TCP/IP
