IBM Rational Functional Tester (RFT)

This IBM Rational Functional Tester - Essentials training course provides an overview of RFT Basics. You learn to build, enhance, and maintain scripts in a full-function Java Integrated Development Environment (IDE) that integrates with IBM Rational products. This course covers less of scripting and hence primarily meant for those who are new to test automation and want to gain first-hand knowledge/ understand the tools built-in capabilities. This course includes more real-time examples & hands-on exercises of various automation techniques which reinforce the vocabulary and processes.

The IBM RFT - Advanced training course explores advanced tool usage through Java programming. In addition to class lecture, you will complete lab exercises to reinforce critical tool and language concepts, and gain hands-on experience guided by an expert instructor. Testers can build, enhance, and maintain scripts in a full-function Java IDE that integrates with the IBM Rational Software Delivery Platform products.

  • Some software development experience (recommended)
  • Knowledge of Java programming is not a prerequisite for this course, but such knowledge is beneficial
