The IBM i Network and Web Security training course covers the following TCP/IP network security features of IBM i. The course is not intended to teach firewall principles.
By attending IBM i Network and Web Security workshop, delegates will learn to:
- List the IBM i functions of TCP/IP that can enhance security
- Locate documentation resources available for IBM i TCP/IP security features
- Acquire a digital certificate from a certificate authority
- Secure an FTP server using System i Navigator, FTP exit programs, and the IBM i Digital Certificate Manager
- Secure Telnet
- Configure and activate IP filters
- Set up and use OpenSSH in an IBM i environment
- Define and configure VPN between IBM i systems
- Plan and configure single sign-on in a Windows / IBM i environment
- Basic IBM i skills including knowledge of the IFS
- Basic System i Navigator skills
- Basic Windows skills
- IBM i TCP/IP knowledge
This IBM i Network and Web Security class is intended for individuals who implement and/or support IBM i TCP/IP security.
